What Is The Full Form Of ICSE 

ICSE - Indian Certificate of Secondary Education.

ICSE - Indian Certificate of Secondary Education. was established in the year 1958. And the examination is conducted by the Council for the Indian school certificate examination.it is just certified by the Indian Government but not truly a central board. Now if you look back at its origins, the ICSE board established with a primary goal to replace to overseas Cambridge school certificate examination with an all India examination.

A mission to serve the children of India, By providing them with excellent quality of education. So basically it not fully a govt body but the Govt. of India has recognized this board so that they can function in a proper manner. 

Now that we have a general view of both the boards, We will try to explain their pros and cons. So that it can help you decide whether you should adopt the CBSE board or ICSE Board.

Methods Of Teaching in CBSE and ICSE Board 

• Now if we compare both the boards then they both are similar in a way that they rigid structure in accepting children.
• Meaning Parents have to struggle a bit in order to admit their children to any of these boards. And if you want to switch from ICSE To CBSE you are certainly allowed to do that only if the parent has moved to a new place, in that case, you can take a transfer from one board to the other.
• Although they prefer to get only those students who have completed 1-10 class under CBSE Board if you do get permitted from ICSE to CBSE. It will be beneficial for you to crack the competitive exam. as the CBSE Board is to give you a strong foundation for govt. exam.
• On the other hand, ICSE is more focused on project and lab work and extracurricular activities. rather than another educational subject and this is the reason why the ICSE Board allot 20%  marks for the internal assessment. while the curriculum differs in the CBSE which is basically more organized.

CBSE Syllabus and ICSE Syllabus 

CBSE recognizes the NCERT as its syllabus.

On the other hand, the council for the Indian School Certificate Examination is responsible for making ICSE Syllabus.

CBSE Students are more inclined towards science and mathematics while balancing them with science, commerce, and Humanities.

Whereas, ICSE give more concern to language, Arts and Science subjects.

The Students of CBSE are more prepared to tackle competitive exams like engineering, Medical or Bank, Indian Army, Civils, etc.

While ICSE students try to find their career in the management fields, literature, and arts.

However, scoring in TOEFL or Scholarship exams become easier for them.

3. If you have to give any international exam then you can choose the Icse board. Because it is designed like the Syllabus International Level.
4. Now the ICSE board is also following the CBSE board. Because their children fall behind in competitive exams whether it is Iit or medical line exam.
5. The children of ICSE board bring marks well but their selection is less than the children of CBSE and up the board.
